I had some scary complications and she was able to help us make sense of everything happening around me when both my husband and myself were overwhelmed. “Tymaree was a lifesaver for us. Toward the end of my pregnancy concerns about the baby’s health prompted doctors to suggest induction. Tymaree’s insight and advice as we decided whether and when to proceed with an induction was calming and clarifying. I was eventually induced, and I credit the fact that I delivered vaginally entirely to her help. She was able to foresee potential problems and troubleshoot them before they arose alarm among the doctors and nurses, none of which my husband or I would have been able to understand or respond to on our own. She coached me through an induction without an epidural and her verbal and physical comfort were essential to getting through the experience with my health, safety, and sanity intact.

But her work was perhaps even more valuable to us after our baby was delivered. Her focus on continuing to support new parents in the postpartum period really sets her apart and was absolutely critical for us. After our baby lost more weight than expected, we were put on a strict and challenging feeding regimen, all while trying not to panic about our baby’s health. Tymaree was available to answer any and all of our questions about breastfeeding, weight loss, supplementing, and anything else as soon as they came up. I have the lengthy middle of the night text chains to prove it! It was a struggle to establish breastfeeding, but Tymaree’s advice and insight are a huge part of what led to eventual success. I’ve now breastfed my baby for six months, in many ways thanks to the advice I got from her, both over the phone and with hands-on help in person. We owe a debt of gratitude to Tymaree’s expert support for our baby’s happiness and health.”

“It’s hard to put into words how important Tymaree was to the birth of our daughter.
Tymaree came to our sides late in the night and she stayed with us through the night and long into the next day — over 18 hours in total — until when, at last, our daughter joined us!
After pushing unsuccessfully for several hours, it was Tymaree’s suggestion to try a technique using a sheet as a fulcrum (we were delirious at the time so she’ll have to explain it!) that worked to bring our daughter into the world.
